The vision for Modular Compact Apartment Project (MCAP) is futuristic, to build a new matrix for living needs of communities in the urban setting across India.
The project aim was to develop a compact and functional unit design for new age communities with their dynamic needs and contemporary living styles. The theory of modular compact apartments was generated which leads to more efficient living apartments in terms of space, functionality and flexibility. The development offered shared community spaces to spill into for other living needs of entertaining, wellness, recreation and family care. The design was based on the construction concept of a whole as a sum of its parts or components. These components were factory-made plugins to aid the scale, speed, economy and quality of such projects.
The MCAP project was envisaged in urban, suburban and peri urban areas of cities with varying formats based on the user profile and land area logistics.
Wo77 is the detailed pilot project for an urban site.
